Privately Adopt
an Infant?

How do I
Privately Adopt
an Infant?

Adopting an infant can be very exciting and in many cases, it would be considered a ‘New Beginning‘. Our New Beginnings Program (Private Infant Adoption) can be very fun and exciting, but will also come with its hardships and realities that we want to convey to you upfront. During this process, we will be here each step of the way. Here’s a quick synapse of the Private Infant Adoption process.

  • First, you must go through ICA’s Application Process and become RFA Approved.
  • Second, once you are RFA Approved there are a few more variables that have to be in place:
    1. An infant has to be available for adoption
    2. The birth parent of that infant has to prospectively choose you. Then you will have the opportunity to meet the birth parent and receive as much information to make an informed decision.
      • Please keep in mind, the birth parent will choose from ICA’s RFA Approved Families on who to place the infant with.

* A special thing to note, currently, the national trend shows that infant adoption is at an all-time low. This basically means private infant adoption at this current time is sparse. Due to this factor, we encourage you to contact ICA and we will go over alternative options and other programs with you.
