Family Requirements

• Age: Prospective adoptive parents must be between the ages of 30 and 55 may adopt an infant or combined ages of adoptive parents must be less than 90 years.

• Marriage: Married a minimum of 5 years. If previously married, no more than 1 previous marriage per adoptive parent with a minimum of 5 years in present marriage.

• Criminal Record: India will not place a child with a family with a history of substance abuse, criminal background, prospective adoptive parents on medications for psychological issues or a history of unstable relationships.

• Household: The family may have up to 3 children presently in the household.

Country Information 

• Travel: One prospective adoptive parent is required for traveling abroad to pick up the child. Average stay is 10 – 15 days.

• Application to Placement: Anywhere from 13 – 18 months.

Children Available

• Age of Children: 9 months – 12 years old.
  • Predominantly girls, some boys available.

• Special Needs: Special needs children are available.
